Jimmy Melin

A little about me:

I am a member of the Secular Franciscan Order – how I see the world and approach life is from a Franciscan Catholic perspective. To learn more about Franciscans, please click on my Secular Franciscan page. I am also a 4th Degree Knight of Columbus.

I hold a BS in Psychology (with a focus on addiction & recovery) and MA in Applied Catholic Theology and am currently pursuing a second MA in Catholic Studies. Beginning in May I will be pursuing certification in Spiritual Direction. I also am a Certified Recovery Peer Specialist in the State of Florida, Nationally Certified Telehealth Provider (for Peer Support), Nationally Certified Intervention Professional, Nationally Certified Recovery Coach, and Nationally Certified Sober Companion/Safe Transport.

I live in Tallahassee, FL with my wonderful wife Tracy, 3 dogs and 4 cats. A good cup of hot coffee is my favorite beverage, winter or summer. If you want to discuss anything about faith, recovery, or both, then let’s meet up at a local coffee shop and talk!
